Chemical and petrochemical industry
Pressure and temperature measuring devices for
applications in the chemical/petrochemical industry are subject to high
requirements in relation to exterior service conditions as well as in
relation to the medium to be measured (resistance). Furthermore special
safety aspects have to be taken into consideration, for example for
measurements in hazardous areas or measurements on aggressive substances.
LABOM measuring instruments have proven themselves with many years of
service in plants in the chemical/petrochemical industry. Typically, we
use stainless steel or high-grade materials (for example tantalum,
hastelloy, nickel, PTFE). These materials provide excellent protection
against corrosive media.
LABOM diaphragm seals are used for pressure measurements on aggressive
media or at very high process temperatures. As one of the leading
suppliers in the field of diaphragm seal technology we can also offer an
"instrument made to measure" for the most difficult measurement tasks.
Similar problems have been encountered at temperature measuring points
under difficult process conditions. LABOM thermowells made of a special
material (with tantalum coating, for example) provide complete
protection against the medium being measured. The LABOM pipe collar is
used as an alternative to conventional immersion temperature measurement.
It is mounted on the outside of the piping and has many important
advantages, not only in relation to installation.
