Requirements
Hot, explosive, corrosive: Measurement technology used in the chemical and petrochemical industry is subject to the most stringent requirements in terms of safety and stability. It must withstand adverse environmental conditions, be resistant to high temperatures or aggressive substances and is also often explosion-proof in compliance with the ATEX standards.
The Labom solution
In order to ensure optimum protection against corrosive media, our measuring devices are always made of stainless steel or higher-grade materials. Robust stainless steel housings are particularly suitable for systems that are exposed to the weather – Labom's high quality requirements take this into account.
Pressure measurement: Our diaphragm seals are used for pressure measurements on particularly aggressive media or at extreme process temperatures such as those that occur in the chemical industry. As a leading supplier of diaphragm seal technology, we offer a tailor-made solution for every measurement task with our patented technologies.
Temperature measurement: For temperature measuring points with challenging process conditions, the Labom protection sleeves made of stainless steel or special material, e.g. with a tantalum coating, guarantee complete protection against the medium to be measured. In addition, devices with clamp-on technology can be used as an alternative to conventional immersion temperature measurement. They measure the temperature on the pipe or tank surface – so there is no contact between the measuring device and the medium.
