Drift detection with double Pt
Temperature Transmitter GV4 MiniTherm with Self-Monitoring
Strict requirements such as the regular calibration of temperature measuring points often mean opening and thus interrupting the process, especially in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Between the individual calibration cycles, there is also the possibility of unrecognised drift and therefore inaccurate measurement results, which in the worst case can lead to entire batches becoming unusable or even having to be recalled
Our solution offers the temperature transmitter GV4 MiniTherm, optionally equipped with the function package self-monitoring. The temperature is measured by two Pt100, whose special feature is that their physical structure ensures opposite drift behaviour. The signal difference (ΔR) is continuously monitored with each measured value so that exceeding a threshold value (ΔRS) can be detected directly and the drift warning is triggered.
- Continuous drift monitoring between calibration cycles and over the entire temperature range
- No operating times with unrecognised incorrect measured values
- The permissible drift (ΔRS) can be set individually by the customer
- High measuring accuracy
- Redundancy in case of failure of one sensor
